We recently wrote about ‘the practical challenge of serialisation’ , a topic on which Christoph presented at the IPSE event in Dublin and the GS1 Healthcare Conference in Copenhagen on 23rd October.
The key message focused closely on the need for all pharma companies to engage with the imminent challenges of serialisation. Working with clients from different sectors of the pharma industry, we see a similar picture, that up to 80% of sales are at risk if companies don’t have a serialisation programme implemented in time. The expectation of all prescription medicine being trackable by the 2020s highlights the need to look at a traceability solution as a matter of urgency and get started.
As many companies are wondering, how to start, we are offer a two-day serialisation training to give practical and independent advice, making it the ideal first step for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
At our last event at the Vitra campus in Rhein am Weil, Basel, delegates from 12 companies from across Europe left with a thorough understanding of the practical steps to serialisation. These steps include: coding and the core capabilities required by your solution, artwork and packaging, printing and tamper evidence, coding and master data: GS1 standards and beyond GTINs, NTINs and NHRNs, generic architecture, specifying and buying your systems, vendors mapping and user requirements. For delegates, this knowledge was essential in order to initiate, complement and complete their serialisation programmes. “Extremely useful – there is an immediate project need to understand this topic. 3C’s independent approach provides a high level of confidence in the validity of the content.” – Team member of serialisation project at Irish pharma company
We’ll be holding our next serialisation workshop on 27th-28th January 2015 in Uppsala, Sweden where we will provide you with the knowledge to start your own tailored serialisation programme. Places are limited to ensure delegates gain maximum benefit from their attendance. Register online at Eventbrite to ensure your place on this packed two-day programme that will see the world’s foremost pharma experts on serialisation communicate their real world experience of the practicalities of traceability
