A sleigh ride to serialisation success for 3C Integrity!

It has been a great 2014 for 3C Integrity. We’ve spoken at events, been featured in several magazines and journals, and run two fantastic serialisation workshops. Pausing just before our Christmas break and taking stock of the past year, we realise just how busy we’ve been:

Ian attended the PDA Ireland Chapter Supply Chain Seminar in April presenting a case study on serialisation and the impact it will have on the pharma industry. He also appeared as a serialisation expert at Interpack providing first hand advice and guidance.

Christoph presented in March in Frankfurt at the Fleming Europe’s 4th Annual Pharma Packaging and Labelling Forum and at a series of Global Pharmaceutical Serialisation and Track & Trace Open House” Webinars organised by IQPC.

We were also pleased (and flattered!) to be asked to present at two ISPE Affiliate events in the autumn. We spoke, separately, at the ISPE UK Affiliate North-West event and the IPSE Ireland Affiliate Event about the challenges facing the pharma industry in the UK. Christoph managed to present ‘virtually’ on the same day as his ISPE event at the GS1 Global Healthcare Conference in Copenhagen where he spoke specifically about the EU-FMD and the EFPIA’s European Stakeholder Model, a theme that he revisited in November in Berlin, presenting at the 6. Jahreskonferenz Pharma Track & Trace – Anti-Counterfeiting.

A few articles and journals we appeared in

We were having a competition between ourselves to see who would be the biggest serialisation star and we seem to be joint winners! We both appeared in Pharmaceutical Field magazine with Christoph analysing European medicine compliance and Ian (or could that be Ianosaurus?) looking at the potential for the mass extinction of pharma companies.

Christoph’s intimate understanding of the European legislation allowed him to offer some deep insights into the thinking that is shaping the awaited EU Delegated Act on Safety Features, that was published in Securing Industry in August while Ian examined the expected impact of the world-wide move towards serialisation on CMOs and the Track-and-Trace race in PharmTech Talk. The final piece of the year saw Christoph write about the EU-FMD Safety Features Delegated Act in the EIPG Journal. You’ll see us online and in print in more magazines and journals in the New Year, so keep an eye on our Twitter page for 3C’s latest articles.

A round-up of our serialisation workshops

We held our first ever serialisation workshop in April at the beautiful Cranage Hall in Cheshire. Over 30 delegates attended and gave us excellent feedback on our first event. Encouraged by the success of the first event, we took our serialisation workshop across the Channel to Basel and the stunning Vitra Conference-Centre in September and are now busy finalising the third run, planned for the end of January.

There is still chance to attend our next serialisation workshop which will take place on the 27^th and 28^th January in Uppsala, Sweden, this time held in partnership with Kemwell AB.
