Getting Fit for Pharma Serialisation – and how to keep this and other New Year’s Resolutions

FitnessGetting Fit is there amongst the top ten New Year’s Resolutions, alongside spending more time with family and loved ones and getting less stressed at work.

But we are about to enter the second working week of the New Year, the first of these resolutions are already starting to crumble away as the realities of life and work pressures are returning. However this need not be: As Professor Richard Wiseman, author of Quirkology, demonstrated out a couple of years ago, there are a few things you can do to ensure you keep your resolutions and achieving success. The top three tips are:

  • Make only one resolution
  • Don’t go with the usual resolutions; instead think about what you really want to achieve
  • Break your goal into a series of steps, focusing on sub-goals that are concrete, measurable, and time-based

So let us help you to focus on the single, most important goal for any pharmaceutical business as you are entering 2015: This is to Get Fit for Serialisation! Even better, there is an easy way to get started: There is still chance to sign up for 3C Integrity’s 3rd Pharma Serialisation Workshop which will take place on the 27th and 28th January in Uppsala, Sweden, held in partnership with Kemwell AB.

So join us and delegates from other pharma companies from across Europe for a two-day intensive workout-programme to get ready for the challenges of 2015, the year the EU’s Safety Features Delegated Act will be issued, when the first provisions of the US DSCSA come into force and when initial provisions in markets such as South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Brazil will come due.

And if you’re still in doubt whether you should make this a priority, check out some recent articles in industry publications on the subject, such as Christoph analysis of the industry readiness in Pharmaceutical Field magazine, Ian’s article on the possible Pharmaceutical Mass Extinction Event or the insights into the thinking that is shaping the awaited EU Delegated Act on Safety Features, that was published in Securing Industry in August 2014 and the expected impact of the EU-FMD Safety Features Delegated Act in the EIPG Journal.

Remember: Getting fit for Serialisation now is not just crucial to your company survival over the next few years, but getting your programme off to a good start now, with help from some of the world’s leading experts, may well help you achieve two other of the top New Year’s resolutions, to be less stressed at work and, through the implementation of a well-controlled and predictable programme, even achieve the work-life balance so that you can spend some time with family and loved ones!
